Hash A Hash is a term used in digital signature technology and is a number that is mathematically generated to uniquely identify data.
Honeynet A Honeynet is a group of networked honeypots set up to attract hackers and would be attackers so that white hats and system administrators can monitor the hacker activity and determine how the black hats are attempting to gain access to the whole of the network.
Honeypot A Honeypot is a single host designed to lure attackers away from legitimate systems.
Host A computer positioned on a network is often referred to as a Host.
Hub A Hub is a very simplistic device and is used to connect Local Area Network (i.e., LAN) segments together. A Hub operates at the Physical Layer of the OSI model and possesses no logic to make decisions about forwarding.
