and Stay Resident Virus (i.e., TSR) is a type of memory-resident
virus. After infecting a host, it leaves a resident portion
of itself in Random Access Memory (i.e., RAM) and comprimises
the operating system's ability to carry out commands by injecting
its own. By doing so it can cause a great deal of damage and
even remain undetected as it may appear to be a legitimate
background service. |
